Digital Audio System an important piece in this upgrade

Refreshing a business aviation cockpit presents an opportunity to add innovation, enhancing safety and improving crew capabilities. A prime example is West Star Aviation installation of PS Engineering PAC45J Digital Audio Management System, in combination with the Universal Avionics InSight flight deck.

West Star Aviation (www.weststaraviation.com) has completed installing the PAC45J Audio Systems, including three CTL45J control heads and a remote mount HUB45A digital audio router in a Dassault Falcon 2000. Besides the pilot and copilot, an observer position allows a third person to have independent transmit and receive.

The Gunship Grey CTL45J control heads have individual selection over eight communication radios and eight navigation audio sources. Up to four control heads can be connected to the system if required. As in all our Digital Audio Systems, the HUB45A is the central wiring location for all the audio signals. Each CTL45J control head interfaced with a simple RS-422 serial cable bus, making the wiring significantly easier when compared to analog audio systems.

With availability of 8 COM inputs, MultiTalker® provides up to 9 unique positions so that each radio has its very own location within the stereo headset.

West Star Aviation has begun taking reservations for the audio system upgrades including the PS Engineering PAC45 Digital Audio System.
