FAQ for using and troublshooting Bluetooth® connections to PS Engineering Bluetooth® enabled audio panels.
The PMA8000G marks a major milestone in the company’s innovative history. Third generation user interface along with advanced digital processing, makes this a perfect fit for pilots who expect more from their audio panel while not wanting complexity. The PMA8000G is a natural choice for pilots who demand ease of use with a deep set of audio panel capabilities.
IntelliAudio® is another standard capability that will make listening to multiple radio calls manageable. With Com 1 in the 10 O’clock position and Com 2 in the 2 O’clock position, pilots can pay attention to the radio that is most important at any one instant of time.
Bluetooth® interconnectivity allows the pilot to have access to their Bluetooth® enabled telephone or entertainment device. The ability to contact ATC by way of the telephone with the engines running and radios tuned and set at an uncontrolled airfield makes getting into the air under IFR condition much easier.
And like all of our PMA8000 series, there are front panel configuration that allows both the pilot and copilot to configure the intercom to best suite the needs of the cockpit crew and passengers.
Introducing flightmate®, the first multi-function digital recorder/audio system available in an audio selector panel. Functions such as creating checklists, and an instant aircraft radio playback are all part of this audio playback enhancement, just about anything that pilot can say, they can store into non-volatile memory, making those checklist chores a bit easier.
flightmate@ also allows the creation of aural alert that are programmed by the pilot using a few front panel key presses while speaking into the pilot's microphone. This records these annunciations in locations that are specific to one of the four discrete inputs of the audio panel. Anytime there is a change of state (a out of limit condition or a Sonalert starts to sound off) the associated message will sound out until it is acknowledged.
One of the four discrete messages is designed specifically for Sonalerts, the other three are for logic levels, typically coming from electronic engine instruments or other devices that give a change of state during a pre-set condition.
We have also included a USB charging port that is rated at 10 watts. This charger provides enough power for iPads that are running the most demanding application.
We also took a fresh approach to the user interface, making access to the advance functions much easier than in past iterations of the PMA8000 series.
